The Chamber works hand-in-hand with various political and city agencies to help assure businesses are represented and protected as they conduct their day-to-day operations, including on issues that surround permitting and licensing.
Business to Business Networking Opportunities
The Chamber hosts multiple events every month that are free for participants. (For ticketed events, see the sponsorship / events pages.) Come with your business cards and be prepared to share!
Wake Ups: Held every Thursday morning. Mingle over coffee and network with fellow business owners.
Business After Hours: Held the 3rd Thursday of every month (except September and December) at a sponsoring business. Come mingle and enjoy refreshments as you learn about the featured business of the month.
Ribbon Cuttings: Held sporadically throughout the year. Show support for your business community, and visit with both members and locals.
Promote Your Business At the Fair
Every year the Chamber runs an information booth at the fair. Members can sign up for short 2 hr shifts, wear their own logo-wear, and represent their business as they interact with fair visitors. The fair boasts 1.1 million visitors annually. This gives members the opportunity to enhance their business presence in the community and network with other business owners, residents, and potential clients.
Our directory is a high-gloss, magazine-style publication that we personally update and reprint every year. It’s a comprehensive guide to the city, and a go-to resource for both tourists and local residents alike. The guide includes two business directories (an alphabetical and categorical directory), and all chamber members have the privilege of being listed in both. Over 20,000 Distributions, including the Visitor’s Center, Fair Booth, and the lobbies of many local businesses, including hotels, apartments, and banks.

Our website has a comprehensive directory that is interactive and mobile friendly, which can help site visitors find you and your business. Your basic web listing includes a short description, hours of operation, driving directions, and keyword description area. Over 100,000 unique impression annually.

We always need volunteers! Every Chamber event, and many of our activities, are mostly supported by the generosity of our member volunteers. Interested in helping out? Just email firstname.lastname@example.org to get on the volunteer list! This gives members exposure to other business owners and potential patrons, and a chance to exhibit yourself as a community leader.
