Wake Up at Fryar Flats in Sumner

We’re back! On May 15, 2026 we celebrated Fryar Flats’ grand opening in our community with a grand ribbon cutting. Unfortunately, the weather did not permit use of their amazing rooftop patio, so the ribbon cutting was held indoors in their (still stunning) lobby.

This time around, the sun and the mountain were out, and what a fantastic turnout it was for this fantastic one-of-a-kind view! Puyallup/Sumner Chamber members, prospects, and City of Sumner officials all gathered on the rooftop patio to take in Fryar Flats’ community space. We had the pleasure of saying hi to Mayor Carla Bowman.

Fryar Flats is run by a women-owned management company. With 128 apartment units, it offers breath-taking mountain views while being walking distance to Sound Transit and Sumner Main Street. They offer a gym, game room, and of course, their rooftop lounge.
